Coral Acclimation Guide
CORAL ACCLIMATION GUIDE
-Thank you so much for supporting our family business! It really means a lot to us! Let’s make sure you get these corals into your Aquarium safely!
Step 1: Float the corals in their bags in the aquarium for 15-30 minutes to bring them up to the temperature of your aquarium.
Step 2: If you dip your corals, which we never discourage and often recommend, prepare your dip container with water from your aquarium. Make sure you do not overdose the coral dip and you follow all of the instructions exactly. After shipping, corals can be more stressed than usual so it is best to only allow dips to go for 5 minutes max.
Step 3: Remove your corals from their packaging carefully and handle them with care. Be sure not to damage tissue.
Step 3: Place your corals into your aquarium. Be sure that they are in an area of the aquarium where they will not be disturbed or moved. In some cases it is best to attach it to something using glue and epoxy. Be sure that you are aware of the aggression level of your new coral as well as your existing coral. We advise against putting corals directly into intense lighting or extremely strong water flow post shipping. Monitor your corals over the course of a few days and make minor adjustments only if necessary. Constant change will only stress the coral more.
