The Cinnamon Clownfish, also known as the Fire Clownfish or Red and Black Clownfish, is a vibrant and hardy species that adds a bold splash of color to any marine aquarium. This striking clownfish displays a deep reddish-orange body with dark brown to black shading on the sides and fins, complemented by a single white or bluish-white vertical stripe just behind the eye. Its contrasting colors and lively personality make it a standout choice for both beginner and experienced aquarists.

Care Requirements:
The Cinnamon Clownfish thrives in aquariums of at least 30 gallons with plenty of live rock for shelter and territory establishment. While it doesn’t require an anemone to thrive, it will readily host in species like Entacmaea quadricolor (Bubble Tip Anemone) if available. This species is hardy and adapts well to a variety of tank conditions, making it an excellent choice for both reef and fish-only setups.

Diet:
Omnivorous by nature, the Cinnamon Clownfish enjoys a varied diet of high-quality marine pellets, flake foods, and frozen options such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and finely chopped seafood. Supplement its diet with spirulina or marine algae to maintain vibrant coloration and optimal health.

Temperament:
This species has a semi-aggressive temperament, particularly as it matures or when defending its territory. It can be kept singly, in pairs, or with other semi-aggressive fish. Exercise caution when housing multiple clownfish species together, as territorial disputes may occur, especially in smaller tanks.

Reef Compatibility:
Reef Safe. The Cinnamon Clownfish is safe with corals and most invertebrates, though it may occasionally rearrange soft corals or nip at them if hosting behavior develops without an anemone present.

Compatibility:
Compatible with other semi-aggressive fish such as damselfish, angelfish, and tangs. Best kept as a single specimen or bonded pair unless the tank is large enough to accommodate multiple clownfish with distinct territories. Avoid housing with overly aggressive species that may outcompete it for food or harass it.
